According to a new survey from LendingTree, only 54% of people plan to spend money on NFL football this year — which is a drop from 65% last year. While the NFL is as popular as ever, it’s also getting more expensive with prices of game tickets and merchandise on the rise. The survey also found that fans are even cutting back on fantasy football, where participation is expected to drop from 44% last season down to 36% this season.
