A truckload of French fries went up in smoke on State Route 6 after investigators say a problem with the trailer’s axle likely sparked a blaze. The driver safely disconnected the burning trailer before the fire could spread to the truck, and no injuries were reported. The sheriff joked that deputies resisted the urge to bring ketchup to the scene, adding that while nobody was hurt, “it’s always sad to lose French fries.”
