Why Are People Laughing During the Death Scene in "Romeo and Juliet" Ballet?

Why are people laughing during the death scene of “Romeo and Juliet” at a ballet in Turkey? It’s because a cat wandered onto the stage and began pawing at the hair of the dead Romeo character. Juliet had to continue hugging Romeo while the cat pawed at her dress, then jumped up on part of the set.
Of Note: The crowd was even more delighted when they brought the cat out during the curtain call. It received a huge ovation.
