Two Men Were Pulled Over for Driving a Couch Down a Busy Road

Two men were pulled over this past weekend after they were driving a COUCH down a busy road in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Of course, the couch was NOT street legal. Police posted a picture of the men’s “ride,” which consisted of two electric Lime scooters with a small couch straddling the scooters.
In the caption, they said they “appreciate the creativity,” but . . . quote, “Ask yourself: Should this be on a road . . . with actual cars . . . will the sheer shock of seeing this on the road cause other drivers to lose focus and drive unsafely?
“If the answer feels even slightly like ‘yes,’ maybe rethink the ride.”
Sadly, there’s no video. It sounds like the men could’ve been cited, but that’s unclear. And shockingly, there’s no indication that alcohol was involved.

(Someone joked, “Gives new meaning to ‘couch surfing.'” And here’s a local news report.)
