American actors James Garner gestures during a photo call prior to the screening of the film "Space cowboys" at the 26th American film festival in Deauville, on the Normandy coast September 2, 2000. The festival opened September 1, 2000 and will close on September 10, 2000.

NBC announced a premiere date for “The Rockford Files” reboot. Look for it on the 2nd day of the New Year. It stars David Boreanaz. Since phone answering machines are no longer a thing, he uses an online ad for his message. Here it is, along with the original star’s message from James Garner.

Of Note: “The Rockford Files” aired on NBC from 1974 to 1980.  The reboot of “Baywatch” will also premiere in January, on the 6th.
