THE INDY 500 and more!
THE INDY 500 and more!

Where to watch … The 2026 Indianapolis 500 is scheduled to start Sunday at 12:45 p.m. Eastern Time — and the race will air live on FOX.
Attempting “The Double” … Veteran driver Katherine Legge [pr: leg] will make her fifth start in the event this year — and later on Sunday, she plans to also race the NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, North Carolina, a feat that’s become known as “The Double.” There have been multiple attempts through the years, but the only driver to ever complete all 1100 laps was Tony Stewart back in 2001.
Got milk? … When it comes to drinking the traditional milk at the Indianapolis 500 winner’s circle on Sunday, drivers want regular milk by a wide margin. Of the 33 drivers in the race, 25 drivers chose whole milk, seven drivers chose 2% milk, and one driver — Romain Grosjean from Geneva, Switzerland — chose skim milk. Of course, all these drivers will end up being losers on Sunday because they didn’t pick the correct answer, which is always chocolate milk.
The undercard … If you’re excited about seeing some early racing action, the Wienie 500 — featuring six Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles — is scheduled for today (Friday) at 2 p.m. Eastern Time. The two‑lap sprint will be televised on FOX and streamed on FOX One.
