It was a strong weekend at the box office, led by Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day, which debuted at number one with a $44 million opening — a solid take especially during a weekend where a lot of the country was more focused on the NBA Finals.

The bigger story, though, may be the continued staying power of Obsession and Backrooms, both of which held up well despite a high-profile new release entering the marketplace. Obsession added another $19 million, while Backrooms pulled in $11 million and continues to outperform expectations.

Scary Movie remained competitive with $15 million, and Masters of the Universe rounded out the top five with $8.7 million.
