Do You Remember When Alan Jackson Protested the ACMs By Having His Drummer Play with No Drumsticks?

With the ACMs taking place last night, it got us thinking . . . Remember that time Alan Jackson basically gave the ACMs the middle finger?
The year was 1994, and the Academy wanted Alan to perform his song with a backing track. Well Alan is old school, and he hated that idea. But he was contractually obligated, so his way of protesting was sending out his drummer to play the song WITH NO DRUMSTICKS.
The drummer was just flailing away up there, no drumsticks, playing the best pre-recorded song of his life.
