Dierks Bentley's New Album Proves Third Time's A Charm

Dierks Bentley's career 10th studio album, Gravel & Gold, is available everywhere today (Friday, February 24th). The 14-track collection represents years of work, something Dierks started during Covid and recorded three different times before feeling it was "right."

It was after his second time in the studio with a different producer that he knew what he wanted to accomplish with this album. Dierks tells us: "I started realizing at that point that what this whole idea of a 10th album meant to me is like I wanted it to be a collection of everything I've done, for some reason. I just thought the 10th album should have like the bluegrass and the 90s and the traditional, and the only person that was gonna be able to do that was me, so I waited like another six months, and I also needed some more songs, I felt like, and I went back and kind of did the whole production thing on my own and ended up bringing more producers in to kind of help me complete the vision but music in the studio, you just know when it's right, and that third time around I was like . . . it just kind of all came together."

Last night (Thursday, February 23rd), Dierks celebrated the release with a livestreamed performance from Nashville's CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Dierks sits inside the Top 12 at country radio with his latest single, "Gold."

Lainey Wilson Says Years Of Impersonating Hannah Montana Paid Off

Lainey tells us: "You know what? I think I got a lot of practice with stage presence when I was impersonating Hannah Montana for five years. I did that as my high school job. I would do three or four birthday parties a weekend, and I did it for five years straight. I mean, I was playing at a nursing home one day and I was playing at a three-year-old's birthday party the next, and sometimes both in the same day, so I really had to learn how to adjust to my surroundings and learn my crowd, but I think I found my stage presence along the way. I knew what made me feel alive."

Lainey is in the midst of her Country With A Flare Tour which plays in Columbia, MO on Friday (February 24th) followed by Springfield, MO on Saturday (February 25th).

Her latest single, "Heart Like A Truck," is a Top Five hit and climbing on the Mediabase chart.
