Jim Carrey is reportedly in talks to bring back the GRINCH for a sequel of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.  Ron Howard is returning to direct, and also to produce again.

 

 

It’s still pretty early on, so there aren’t any plot details, or even a title yet.  There also isn’t word if any other original cast members will return, like Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who.

 

 

It’s been almost 26 years since the first movie hit theaters.  A sequel is a bit of a surprise, considering it was such an uncomfortable and grueling makeup transformation that Jim needed CIA-level torture endurance training.

 

 

And not that it would be a big deal to recreate, but Universal demolished their Whoville sets back in 2020.  If you visited Universal Studios Hollywood before then, you would’ve seen these on the backlot Studio Tour.
