Jimbo’s WEIRD NEWS: That’s a Big Bust
That's a Big Bust

A Texas woman is facing federal drug‑trafficking charges after a massive narcotics seizure during a traffic stop on I‑35.
Prosecutors say Julie Juarez was pulled over for speeding. A state trooper thought her behavior was suspicious and that she might have drugs in the car. He brought in a K‑9 unit, and the dog confirmed his suspicion — only he never expected the amount of drugs. A search of her minivan allegedly uncovered about 480 pounds of methamphetamine and 40 pounds of heroin, hidden in an aftermarket compartment.
Federal investigators say Juarez had picked up the drugs in Mexico, crossed into Texas through the Roma Port of Entry, and was headed to Dallas to deliver them. She’s now charged with possession with intent to distribute a large quantity of meth. If convicted, she faces a minimum of 10 years in federal prison but could get up to life. (KWTX-TV Waco)
