“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is now the all-time highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office.  It’s made $936.773 million.

 

 

“Spider-Man” broke the previous record held by “Star Wars: Episode 7 – The Force Awakens” with $936.6 million.

 

 

It’s also #3 on the global box office chart with $2.453 billion.  “Avatar” still holds the #1 spot with $2.923 billion, and “Avengers: Endgame” in second with $2.799 billion.

 

 

Lucasfilm congratulated Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios on the, quote, “Impressive. Most impressive” feat of taking the crown away from “Star Wars”.  They also said, quote, “The Force is strong with you!”

 

 

“Spider-Man” has hit other box office records, like biggest domestic opening of all time with $360 million, and the fastest movie to hit every major domestic milestone from $400 million through $900 million.
