James Bond Auditions Set For August As 007 Search Narrows

The search for the next James Bond is heating up. Director Denis Villeneuve has begun personally contacting actors to audition for the iconic 007 role, with the next round of auditions scheduled for August. Sources tell Deadline that producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman have also started reaching out to talent over the past week. Casting director Nina Gold, who joined the project in April, has already been meeting with lesser-known actors to potentially expand the candidate pool. Names like Harris Dickinson, Callum Turner, and Jacob Elordi fit the profile producers say they are seeking, though no one has been confirmed. Between five and several dozen actors are expected to test. Amazon MGM Studios hopes to have their Bond selected by year’s end, with production targeting a 2027 start. Story URL
