Ronald LaPread, one of the founding members and bassist of The Commodores, has died at age 75 following a brief illness. His daughter Soraya announced his passing on social media Saturday. LaPread co-founded the group with Lionel Richie in 1968 at Tuskegee Institute, contributing to hits like “Brick House”, “Three Times A Lady” and “Easy.” The Motown legends sold over 70 million albums worldwide. Story URL
