There are situations where you wouldn’t bother locking the bathroom door, like if you’re just ducking into your en suite . . . or if you live alone.  (???)

A random online poll asked people, “Do you lock your bathroom door?”

34% say they always lock the bathroom door . . . 32% say they lock it only if guests are over . . . 21% say they never lock it, even if guests are over . . . and 11% claim they don’t even shut the door.  (Technically, that last one also included a catch-all “other” option.)

Someone said, “My bathroom door doesn’t have a lock.” Others said that they leave the door open because their kids or PETS freak out if they don’t . . . and one person said they didn’t know bathroom doors besides public ones could lock.

(Random note:  This poll was conducted on social media so it’s pretty unprofessional.  In fact, the question was even typed as:  “Do you LICK your bathroom door?”  And someone joked, “That was quite the typo.”)
