Some people aren’t comfortable with A.I. . . . and more are probably weird about having A.I.-powered robots.  But what if I told you they could help you when you have to pee in the middle of the night.  (???)

A Chinese company unveiled a “smart toilet,” which can DRIVE ITSELF to you . . . and navigate around obstacles, even at 3:00 A.M., when you’d have trouble dodging laundry baskets and dog toys on your way to the john.

It’s simple:  You use an app to call it over . . . when it arrives, you hop on . . . do your business . . . it cleans you with its built-in bidet system, and then it goes back to its docking station, to clean itself.

The docking station is hooked up to your plumbing, so it can release its smelly load, and flush it away.  It also has a “low-noise grinder that prevents any kind of unwanted blockages,” which is NOT a mental image I needed.

This thing wouldn’t be cheap.  The price is around $13,000, but unfortunately, it’s not available in the U.S. yet, and there’s no timetable for that.

And to be clear:  This robot toilet is designed primarily for older people . . . or those with disabilities or mobility impairments.  Not LAZY PEOPLE who want to poop at their bedside and have a robot flush it away.

(Here’s an amusing video of this smart toilet in action.  It’s actually more involved than you’re probably thinking. And if you have an indoor pet, they will HATE this thing.)
