Taylor Swift Is the Youngest Artist to Be Inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame

Taylor Swift was announced yesterday as the youngest inductee ever to join the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.  She’s 36. She was chosen for the Contemporary Songwriter/Artists category.

She beat out fellow nominees Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, and Phil Vassar.

Taylor says, quote, “From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be. I wanted to learn with and from the best and get to immerse myself in a community of storytellers . . .

“And thankfully Nashville turned out to be exactly what I’d dreamed of.  A town that validated and prioritized hard work, determination and imagination . . . To be honored by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing, and I’m very grateful.”

(Taylor also recently became the youngest woman ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.)

Other inductees to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame include Lyle Lovett, Bruce Channel, Shawn Camp, and Lee Thomas Miller. The induction ceremony will take place sometime this fall.
