Sawyer Brown first hit the Country Music scene 40 years ago this year. And they are showing no signs of slowing down.

To celebrate the anniversary of their debut they’ve released a brand new album called “Desperado Troubadours”.  The new album is produced by Blake Shelton and features all new material.

And that’s not all.

On the way later this year is a documentary about the group’s history so far, and how they became one of the defining bands of 90’s Country Music. “Get Me To The Stage On Time” is the title and Blake Shelton is also the Executive Producer of the documentary.

And last but not least, group front man Mark Miller released his memoir earlier this year titled “The Boys And Me: My Life In The Country Music Supergroup Sawyer Brown”. It’s a behind the scenes look at the untold story of the band and all the obstacles they faced on their way to country music stardom.

Q97.3/99.3’s Dale Mitchell spoke recently with Mark about the band and all that’s going on with them:

Here’s a track from the new album, appropriately titled “Under This Ole Hat”:

And we can’t wait to see the new documentary when it’s released later this year. Here’s the trailer:

And Mark’s new book goes deep into the history of his life and the band. It features a foreword by Pro Football Hall-Of-Fame quarterback Kurt Warner.
