A 72-year-old Ohio man faces up to 180 days in jail and a $1000 fine after police caught him putting a GPS tracking device on a delivery driver’s car to track shipments of Pokémon cards. The man, Kent Kubasta, admitted to police that he placed a tracking device on the driver’s vehicle while it was parked outside a local shop in an effort to find sold-out 30th-anniversary cards to buy at retail prices. Many Pokémon chimed in online, criticizing the man for risking jail time for information he could have found for free on social media apps, where collectors regularly post store delivery schedules.
