If you’ve been waiting to pick up a Nintendo Switch 2 console, you might want to act before the summer ends. Nintendo announced that it is hiking the price from $449.99 to $499.99 this September. Nintendo issued a rare apology for the move, which was caused by price hikes in the parts needed to build the units. Despite the looming price jump, the Switch 2 has been a massive hit since its launch last June, moving nearly 20 million units and padding Nintendo’s profits to the tune of $2.7 billion. We’ll see if demand cools when the prices rise.
