Alexander Ovechkin is 41.  Left winger for the Washington Capitals.  He cemented himself as one of the best players in the NHL when he won the Stanley Cup in 2018.

 

 

Neill Blomkamp is 47.  Director of “Gran Turismo”, and the sci-fi dramas “Chappie”, “Elysium”, and “District 9”.

 

 

Sam Esmail is 49.  “Mr. Robot” creator.

 

 

Constantine Maroulis is 51.  The original “American Idol” rocker.  He was the star in Broadway’s “Rock of Ages”, but only got a cameo in the movie.

 

 

Jimmie Johnson is 51.  One of the top drivers in NASCAR.

 

 

Austin St. John is 52.  Jason, the original Red Ranger on “The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers”.

 

 

Vinnie from Naughty By Nature is 56.  And there’s nothing naughtier than an aging urban troubadour. Profanity Alert!!!  Remember “O.P.P.“?

 

 

Doug E. Fresh is 60.  Rapper who may be the world’s greatest human beat box.

 

 

Kyle Chandler is 61.  Hal Jordan on the new “Lanterns“ superhero series, Deputy Rayburn on “Bloodline”, and Coach Taylor on “Friday Night Lights”.

 

 

Director Bryan Singer is 61.  “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “The Usual Suspects”, “Superman Returns”, and most of the “X-men” movies.

 

 

Dustin Nguyen is 64.  Vinh Van Tran on “21 Jump Street”.

 

 

Kevin Clash is 66.  He was the voice of Elmo on “Sesame Street” for 27 years.  He lost his gig after he was accused of having sex with several men when they were underage.  A guy named Ryan Dillon took over the role in 2013.

 

 

Rita Rudner is 73.  Comedienne who’s been doing Vegas shows since 2000.

 

 

Elvira is 75.  The Mistress of the Dark.

 

 

Phil Jackson is 81.  Zen master and retired Los Angeles Lakers coach.

 

 

John Ritter  (1948 – 2003)  Jack Tripper on “Three’s Company” and the dad on “Eight Simple Rules”. He died from an undiagnosed tear in his aorta.

 

 

Roddy McDowall  (1928 – 1998)  “Planet of the Apes” legend.

 

 

Hank Williams, Sr.  (1923 – 1953)  Country god.  “Hey Good Lookin’“, “Your Cheatin’ Heart“, and “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry“.  Tom Hiddleston played him opposite Elizabeth Olsen in the 2016 movie “I Saw the Light“.

 

 

Anne Bancroft  (1931 – 2005)  Mrs. Robinson in “The Graduate” and Mrs. Mel Brooks from 1964 until her passing.

 

 

Paul Benedict  (1938 – 2008)  Honky Harry Bentley on “The Jeffersons”. Not really British, but everybody THOUGHT he was because of “The Jeffersons”.

 

 

Steve Sanders  (1952 – 1998)  Oak Ridge Boys’ singer.  He took his own life three years after he left the band, with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.

 

 

Ken Kesey  (1935 – 2001)  Author of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” . . . and a big fan of the LSD.  The Grateful Dead got started by playing at Ken Kesey’s “Acid Test” parties, man.
