Fred Dalton Thompson  (1942 – 2015)  Senator-turned-actor.  He was D.A. Arthur Branch on “Law & Order”, the guy running the airport in “Die Hard 2”, an admiral in “The Hunt for Red October”, and the CIA director in Kevin Costner’s “No Way Out”.
