Mothers Turn In Sons After $50,000 School Vandalism In Florida

Two mothers turned in their sons after the boys caused $50,000 in damage to a Florida elementary school. The 12- and 13-year-old suspects broke into Friendship Elementary School in Deltona on Saturday during daylight hours, then returned that night for additional destruction, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. The vandalism targeted the school’s media center, with video showing shattered glass doors, overturned furniture, torn books, and graffiti throughout the facility. Both juveniles confessed to the crimes and face charges including burglary, trespassing, criminal mischief, and theft, the sheriff’s office reported on Facebook. (Story URL)
