FAA Investigating Pilots’ Animal Noises
FAA Investigating Pilots' Animal Noises

A quirky moment on air traffic control radio at Reagan National Airport is going viral after two pilots were heard meowing and barking at each other.
The playful exchange happened on a commonly monitored emergency frequency, raising questions about whether joking on the radio is allowed. The pilots were quickly scolded, with someone else on the frequency saying, “You guys need to be professional pilots.” The scolding was met with more meows and barks.
A former air traffic controller says it technically breaks the rules but likely didn’t affect safety, calling it minor banter. Still, the FAA says it’s investigating, reminding pilots that below 10,000 feet, radio chatter is supposed to be strictly business. (NBC4 Washington)
