Lower Risk Of Developing Dementia

If you’re someone who always has music playing, you’re doing your brain a big favor. A new study found that older adults who frequently listen to music have a 39% lower risk of developing dementia. Researchers at Monash University followed more than 10,800 people over the age of 70 and found that regular music engagement — whether listening or playing an instrument — was linked to better memory, higher cognitive scores, and significantly reduced cognitive decline.
