A circus performer was struck in the neck by an arrow during a live show at the Orange County Fair in Wallkill, New York. The incident occurred on July 24th, when Ana B. Daza Tavera, 42, fired an arrow toward a foam target held by Edwin A. Cuervo Rangel, 38, during Circus Murcia’s crossbow sharpshooter act. The arrow missed its mark and hit Rangel. “When she shot the crossbow, it caught him right at the very corner of the neck. There was no blood, nothing,” Ringmaster Benjamin Jackson said. Rangel was airlifted to a hospital in stable condition. The arrow was removed, Rangel was released, and an investigation remains ongoing. Story URL
