‘Call Of Duty’ Movie Officially Set For Summer 2028 Release

Paramount Pictures has scheduled its Call Of Duty film adaptation for June 30, 2028. The studio announced the release date during its CinemaCon presentation Thursday. Taylor Sheridan will write the screenplay alongside Pete Berg, who will also direct the project based on the popular first-person shooter video game. “I told everyone we were only going to make a movie if it’s right. In David Ellison, we found that partnership,” said producer Rob Kostich, head of Activision, which produces the Call Of Duty games. Kostich emphasized wanting “to make sure that the authenticity of it is captured on a human level so that it feels really real and infuse that with epic scope.” The franchise represents one of gaming’s biggest properties, selling over 500 million copies and ranking as America’s top-selling game franchise for 16 consecutive years.
