A suspicious package outside a Washington, DC fire station turned out to be far less dangerous than first feared.
Police shut down part of Wisconsin Avenue during the Wednesday morning rush after someone left an electronic device with exposed wires near the firehouse. Bomb squad crews responded and traffic was diverted for nearly two hours while the item was investigated. Authorities later determined the object was an adult sex toy and posed no threat. Roads reopened around 9 a.m., and police are still looking into who left it there. (WUSA-TV Washington, DC)
