Ryan Gosling plays a middle school teacher who’s sent to another solar system on a desperate mission to save our planet after scientists discover that the sun is dying and decide he’s our only hope of figuring out how to stop it.

2.  “Ready or Not 2:  Here I Come”  (R)  Trailer

After surviving the deadly attacks of the Le Domas family, Samara Weaving learns that she’s moved on to the next level of the devil’s sacrificial game.  But this time she also has to protect her estranged younger sister Kathryn Newton.

Now four rival families are hunting them in order to claim the High Seat of the Council because whoever wins rules it all.  Elijah Wood is the devil’s lawyer, and the hunters include Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Nestor Carbonell from “Lost”.

3.  “The Pout-Pout Fish”  (PG)  Trailer

An animated movie starring Nick Offerman as a fish whose home within a shipwreck is inadvertently destroyed by a hyperactive young sea dragon.

Then the two of them go on a quest to find a mythical “shimmer” that can grant them a wish to save both their homes.  The rest of the voice cast includes Amy Sedaris, Miranda Otto, and “Idol” winner Jordin Sparks as the Shimmer.
