Dale Mitchell

I have been doing this radio thing for 49 years which of course means I have yet to hold a real job. I grew up in the shadow of the Grand Ole Opry and Nashville, just a short distance away in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and one of my favorite memories was getting to tromp all over the old Ryman Auditorium just a few years after the Opry moved to the new Opry House. It was just like it was the last night the Opry had played there. After starting on my hometown radio station, I worked in Nashville, Indianapolis, and spent a decade in Atlanta before coming to Chattanooga over 30 years ago. I enjoy being a husband and dad to my family, playing golf, reading, classic TV shows, following the St. Louis Cardinals, University of Kentucky football and basketball, and the St. Louis Blues. And I’m often confused with the “Most Interesting Man in the World”. Stay thirsty my friends.
