People Are Adding "Costco Doors" to Their Homes, So They Can Load Groceries Directly from the Car to Their Pantry

The only problem with shopping at warehouse stores is . . . YOUR HOME isn’t a warehouse. But it could be.

More and more people are building “Costco Doors” in their homes, which are holes cut in your garage . . . so you can unload your haul, directly from your trunk into your home.  Ideally, the back of your pantry or a storage area.

The doors are usually around two-foot by two-foot . . . and the storage areas on the other side can vary, but they’re sometimes big enough to walk into. (We have not got to the point where you’ll need to drive a forklift into them . . . but that’s probably the next stage.)

This isn’t a door you can buy at Costco . . . and it’s definitely not something you can install in a couple hours on a Saturday.  You add it in a renovation . . . a new build . . . or with some SERIOUS D-I-Y skills.

But home builders are saying it’s a HOT request, with up to HALF of customers asking for Costco Doors.
