The Top 5 movies this weekend:

  1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day — $39 million
  2. Insidious: Out of the Further — $25.3 million
  3. The Odyssey — $19.5 million
  4. PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie — $9.1 million
  5. The End of Oak Street — $9 million

Spider-Man: Brand New Day remained atop the North American box office, collecting $39 million in its fourth weekend and raising its domestic total to $854.9 million in North America. It will soon surpass Avengers: Endgame, which has $858.4 million, to become the second highest-grossing domestic release of all time. The record holder is currently Star Wars: The Force Awakens at $936.7 million.

Insidious: Out of the Further, the sixth film in the series, came in second with $25.3 million. Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey placed third with $19.5 million, bringing its domestic total to $539.1 million. That pushes it past the $534.9 million from The Dark Knight, making it Nolan’s biggest grossing film in North America.

PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie came in fourth with $9.1 million, just ahead of the number-five film, The End of Oak Street, with $9 million.
