The world of college sports continues to change in a big way. The latest change involves teams adding ads to their uniforms — along the lines of NASCAR uniforms that have become walking billboards. Starting this weekend, college teams can put sponsor logos right on player jerseys. Ohio State and Notre Dame just signed massive deals to lead the way. Ohio State is putting Chase Bank logos on their jerseys for up to $17 million a year. Notre Dame is putting SoFi bank patches on their famous football jerseys for around $20 million a year. Schools need this cash to pay players and run their programs, so we should expect this trend to continue with more programs and more jersey patches.
