Woman Crashes Through Headstones In Cemetery While Learning To Drive
Graveyard maybe not wise for new driver

The Pulse
Learning to drive isn’t easy for everyone. A 53-year-old woman with a learner’s permit was driving in the Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, Massachusetts with a licensed relative in the passenger’s seat when she mistook the gas pedal for the brake and ploughed her Range Rover through a row of tombstones. Photos from the scene show a smashed-up vehicle on top of a pile of tombstones. The entire front bumper is torn from the car, the front left tire is lying on the grass, and the left side of the vehicle is crumpled. Police say the car needed to be towed from the scene. The gravestones were put back in place by the public works department, but it could be costly to repair those that were damaged. The crash is being investigated further by the Melrose Police Department.
