The Artemis II mission is officially underway, sending humans back toward the moon for the first time in decades.

But Artemis II had a bit of a rough start . . . not with the rocket or the launch, those went great.  The problem was the toilet.  Astronauts weren’t able to go #1 for the first six hours of the flight.  (Apparently this did not affect #2.)

Fun science fact:  In zero gravity, airflow is what makes a toilet work.  So, when a fan broke, one astronaut had to use a backup bag instead.

But luckily, after six hours of troubleshooting, the astronauts were able to repair it.  And then NASA confirmed, “toilet is go for use.”
