The Chicks are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark album Taking The Long Way with a special reissue and North American tour. Taking The Long Way (20th Anniversary Edition) drops October 2nd, featuring five bonus tracks, including a demo of their Grammy-winning “Not Ready to Make Nice” and the previously unreleased track “Flowers.” The Rick Rubin-produced album earned five Grammy Awards after the group was blacklisted from country radio following their 2003 criticism of President George W. Bush. The anniversary tour kicks off September 30 in Detroit and wraps November 3 in Los Angeles. Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer will perform the album in its entirety each night. Story URL
