Teen Girl Charged After Tackling Football Player During Game

A 16-year-old girl stormed a middle school football field in Winchester, Tennessee, tackling a player and shoving him down a second time after he stood up. The incident occurred Tuesday night during a home game between South Middle School and Cornersville Middle School at Franklin County High School. Video reviewed by TMZ captured the confrontation, which appeared to target a player involved in a brief end-zone scuffle following a South touchdown. Officials stopped play, cleared the field and stands, and contacted police. The girl, a Marshall County Schools student, was arrested on assault and disorderly conduct charges. No injuries were reported. She has been permanently banned from Franklin County School System properties and barred from Cornersville games for one year.
