Gamers could be in for a massive case of sticker shock when the PlayStation 6 arrives, with reports showing the cost to build the machine is already pushing past $1000. The big problem is the cost of RAM and internal storage, which is being driven up by the massive boom in AI tech. Insiders say the cost of memory and storage alone will run Sony nearly $700 per console. So brace yourself. It looks like this problem will get worse before it gets better.
