PEABO BRYSON: "Whole New World" Singer Dead at 75

R&B Singer Peabo Bryson, best known for Disney-derived hits like “A Whole New World” and “Beauty and the Beast,” has died at the age of 75 after suffering a massive stroke.

Bryson, who won Grammy Awards for those songs, died Tuesday afternoon “surrounded by the love of his family and those closest to him,” according to TMZ, Prior to his Disney hookup, the singer charted with hits such as “Can You Stop the Rain,” “Tonight, I Celebrate My Love,” “Feel the Fire” and “If Ever You’re in My Arms Again.”

Peabo is survived his wife, Tanya Boniface Bryson, their son, Robert, his daughter, Linda Bryson, and his three grandkids.
