A park in Lexington Kentucky briefly became a parkway — sending people scattering.

Officers were called to Whitney Young Park after reports of a driver doing donuts on the grass. According to an arrest citation, 40‑year‑old Kathryn Johnston attempted to strike three pedestrians, including an eight‑year‑old child.

The people ran from the park and jumped into nearby yards to avoid being hit. Police say Johnston fled the area at high speed, nearly striking other vehicles and children in the neighborhood.

The incident ended at a nearby home, where officers arrested Johnston and filed multiple charges. No injuries were reported. (LEX 18)
