New in Theaters: "Motor City", "Haunted Heist", and "Pinocchio Unstrung"

1. “Motor City” (R) Trailer
Alan Ritchson from “Reacher” plays a guy who escapes from prison to get revenge on the drug lord (Ben Foster) who framed him for a crime he didn’t commit . . . just to steal his girlfriend (Shailene Woodley).
It’s set in the ’70s and includes Pablo Schreiber from “Halo” as a corrupt cop working for the bad guy. The cast barely speaks less than a dozen lines of dialogue and most of the movie is carried by the action instead.
2. “Her Private Hell” (R) Teaser and Trailer
A psychosexual thriller starring Sophie Thatcher from “Yellowjackets” as an actress in a futuristic society where women are being targeted by a serial killer called the Leatherman as a mysterious mist engulfs the city. Charles Melton from “Riverdale” is also in it as an American soldier fighting his way through the city to try to rescue his daughter from Hell.
3. And now, some limited releases you may or may not care about:
—“Haunted Heist” starring comedian Karlous Miller as an ex-con who invites his friends (Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, and King Bach) to an Airbnb, but it’s actually a haunted house with a hidden antique he’s trying to steal. (Trailer)
—“Hades: The Musical” the Tony award winning Broadway musical that uses New Orleans jazz to give a modern take on the Greek mythology love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone. (Trailer)
—“Pinocchio: Unstrung”, a horror movie where Pinocchio kills people to try to turn himself into a real boy with their body parts. Robert Englund from the “Nightmare on Elm Street” movies is the Cricket egging him on. (Trailer)
