According to a new study from the Yale School of Medicine, a single dose of psilocybin [pr: sy-luh-SY-bin] — the active ingredient in magic mushrooms — can provide relief from obsessive compulsive disorder for up to three months. Researchers found the fast-acting treatment gave patients dealing with OCD a big boost, especially those patients who previously struggled with traditional antidepressant drugs.
