The Coal Miner's Daughter is gone

Chattanooga, TN:

NBC reports that Loretta Lynn, who was born a coal miner’s daughter before ultimately becoming one of the crown jewels of country music, has died.

She was 90.

In a statement provided to The Associated Press, Lynn’s family said she died Tuesday at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
