April 25th is Bob Wills day and you may not know who the King of Western Swing is, but George Strait does and so does Jon Pardi. In fact, Jon has such admiration for the late Texas musician, he had his fiddle player, Billy, teach him the ways of Texas swing music.

Jon recorded Bob’s “Right or Wrong” for his Casa Fiesta Sessions album, but he may need to go ahead and record a full tribute album. He could have some of his country music compadres join him. We’d love to hear Vince Gill on “Faded Love,” Miranda Lambert on “San Antonio Rose” and Dierks Bentley on “Big Balls in Cowtown.”
