STUPID NEWS: Mallrat Assaults Easter Bunny

A New Jersey man is facing charges after police say he drove to a shopping mall in Pittsburgh and assaulted the Easter Bunny.

According to police, the incident happened last week at South Hills Village Mall while a woman working as the Easter Bunny was posing for photos with children and families. Investigators say 36-year-old Bera Shivakrishna approached the Easter Bunny and began asking personal questions. When she directed him to an assistant, police say the man refused to back away.

The criminal complaint alleges the man then touched the performer’s arm and upper body and went on to inappropriately grope her. The assistant told police the man asked questions like, “Is it a boy or a girl?” and also put his fingers into the costume’s nose and mouth. After speaking with the victim and witnesses, police reviewed mall security video and identified Shivakrishna as a suspect. Officers later found him asleep in the top row of an auditorium at the AMC Theater next to the mall. He was arrested and charged with indecent assault. (CBS News)
