Scientists Think Oversized Bones Belonged To Sea Monsters

Researchers from the University of Bonn analyzed mysterious large bones found in Europe and think they know what they belonged to: Sea monsters who lived during the same time as dinosaurs.

The bones showed features similar to ichthyosaurs. The sea creatures would have had large jaws and lived millions of years ago.

“It is possible that these animals also used their snouts to ram into their prey, similar to the orcas of today,” study co-author Marcello Perillo said. (Study Finds)
