HBO has released the first trailer for its upcoming Harry Potter television series, offering fans an early look at a new adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s beloved books.

The series is scheduled to debut on Christmas 2026, earlier than previously expected, and will begin with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

The show stars newcomers Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

The trailer features iconic moments from the original story, including Harry’s life with the Dursleys and his arrival at Hogwarts, while promising a more detailed, book-faithful retelling spread across multiple seasons.

Veteran actors including John Lithgow and Janet McTeer round out the cast.
