Authorities in North Carolina were called out to a Truist Bank branch to remove a cold-blooded customer who not only didn’t have an account there but was also an alligator.

Southport police and animal protection officers were called to the bank when the large reptile crawled up to the drive-thru. When crews arrived, they found the alligator hiding beneath a parked vehicle. The animal had apparently been hit by a car, but officials say it suffered only minor injuries. Wildlife officers took custody of the gator and say it will be relocated to a safer, more suitable habitat — far away from bank customers and traffic. Next time, maybe he’ll just use the ATM.
