Ella Langley Leads 60th CMA Awards Nominees With Nine.
Ella Langley leads nominees for “The 60th Annual CMA Awards” with nine nods, the most of any artist this year. Her nominations include entertainer of the year, album of the year for “Dandelion” and female vocalist of the year, along with two nods apiece in the single and song of the year categories for “Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas,” both produced by Langley, Miranda Lambert and Ben West and mixed by Dave Clauss. She also earned a musical event of the year nomination for “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” her duet with Morgan Wallen, and a music video of the year nod for the “Choosin’ Texas” clip. The nominations bring her career total to 16.
Lambert follows with seven nominations, including two as producer on “Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas” and a songwriting credit on “Choosin’ Texas.” She also received one as producer on Langley’s “Dandelion” album. Additionally, she picked up two musical event of the year nods — for “A Song to Sing” with Chris Stapleton and “Horses and Divorces” with Kacey Musgraves — along with a female vocalist of the year nomination. Lambert now holds the record for most CMA nominations by a female artist, with 70 career nods. Musgraves and West each earned five nominations. Musgraves is up for album of the year (“Middle of Nowhere”), song and music video of the year for “Dry Spell,” female vocalist and musical event of the year. West, a first-time nominee, is nominated twice for single of the year as a producer and once each for album and musical event of the year.
Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Stephen Wilson Jr. each received four nominations. Johnson and Stapleton are both up for entertainer and male vocalist of the year; Johnson also earned single and music video of the year nods for “The Fall,” while Stapleton picked up a musical event of the year nomination for “A Song to Sing” and a music video of the year nod for “White Horse.” Wilson Jr. earned song and music video of the year nominations for “Gary,” which he wrote solo and co-directed. Wilson also received nominations for new artist and male vocalist of the year.
Clauss, Luke Combs and Lainey Wilson each landed three nominations, with Combs and Wilson joining Johnson, Langley and Stapleton in the entertainer of the year field. Combs also earned an album of the year nod for “The Way I Am.” Thirteen first-time nominees include West, singer Avery Anna, producer-songwriter Jack Antonoff and duo Muscadine Bloodline.

“The 60th Annual CMA Awards” airs live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Wednesday, Nov. 18 (8pm ET, ABC and Disney+, with next-day availability on Hulu). CMA’s 7,083 voting-eligible professional members will receive the final ballot Oct. 1; voting closes Oct. 27 at 6pm CT, with results tabulated by Deloitte.
