Just one week after Dolly Parton’s death at age 80, vandals targeted her Hollywood Walk Of Fame star, scratching and obscuring her name on the plaque. The Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce spokesperson Ana Martinez confirmed to TMZ that repairs were already planned due to pre-existing cracks. The Hollywood Historic Trust announced on Instagram it is “proud to honor the legacy of Dolly Parton with a replacement of her star,” set to be unveiled this Friday. The damaged star, featuring a record icon, was originally presented June 14, 1984, alongside Sylvester Stallone. Parton also holds a second star from 2018 with Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt. Following her August 25th passing, her music surged 1,143% in U.S. streams, with “Jolene” re-entering the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 16. Story URL
